Got the call - the number is bizarrely similar to our phone number.  In the past, we have have received criminal calls from telemarketers using OUR phone number!
We never answer out-of-area or unfamiliar calls - we have an answer machine for those calls.  No message was left.
We never call these suspicious calls back.
Will wait for a 2nd call before blocking.
