Caller ID was "CALIFORNIA".
According to a report on the website "whocalled.us/", the caller is a "contractor for Heating and Air conditioning" and, when informed by the victim of the call that the number called was on the DNC list, the caller just hung up.
We definitely do not recognize the number.
Fortunately, our call blocking device rejected the call without it ever ringing our phone.

1-818-299-3333

Missed the call; no message was left.

This is fraudulent number. I received a call from 818 299-3333. A blank message was left on my voice mail. I called back this number and it said it was disconnected.

Just called. Switchboard familiar noise. Then a  over-friendly slow wind-up from a young sounding clerk.
I hung up right away..
