My most recent call from these people was on 4/7/15, but I have been investigating who they are "fund raising" for. It is NOT the Ft Worth Jaycees, as you may be falsely told! They are allegedly representing the "Mission Inn Texas Jaycees", but I find conflicting information about that group's address and/or phone number & not much more than a Facebook page. I wonder how a small entity has the funding to hire a telemarketer to fundraise for them & how much of a donation even might make it to the MIT Jaycees. As we all know, "charities" & those allegedly calling on their behalf, are not always legitimate. Even if they are, often most of the donation is kept by the telemarketing firm, so donations are not really dispersed as you hope.
As many others, I previously asked this telemarketing firm to remove us from their calling lists in December 2014. Obviously, that wasn't done, so I will be contacting the head of the MIT Jaycees, Dave Schaefer. If that isn't adequate, I'm sure the TX Attorney General & Better Business Bureau will be happy to assist.
