Got a call on my home phone-- caller left a message and requested a return call to a different number (same area code and prefix).  I returned the call, someone answered 'business office' told me the person who had called me had left for the day.  I asked for the name of the business/organization I was calling.  She rudely replied, "I thought you knew who you were calling."  I explained again that I was returning a call, and asked again for the name of the business.  She replied, "I can't give you that information." When I tried to ask another question, she interrupted me with "Have a nice evening ma'am." and then hung up.  Really odd.

got a call from this number the person wanted to talk to my gf but would only say it was a personal call who are these people and what are they up to/ do they want? sounds suspicious if my lady doesn't know who is calling her i'm not sure if she should call back

Well then, lucky for us all I'm a pretty smart  guy then, huh?! Its a debt collection service wanting its owed money. It is a service that provides its services to businesses that have held the debts of people not wanting or being able to pay their bills. They wait for you to pay your past balances for so long then they sell your debt to these people.Such places include hospitals,owed cell phone bills,credit cards,and oh yes even unpaid city parking tickets and court fines. It just so happens these folks are located in Rockford,Illinois off of Aurburn and Main Streets. How about those apples, huh? And I can do you good people one better. they will not give you the business name when you call them back,
