Got a txt trying to claim that my visa card was locked due to suspicious activity, with this number to call... My bank doesn't have my cell number.

Someone just  text with this number 813-666-8917  says call security department because my viza debit card has been locked,I dont even have a viza and yesterday was trying with a deferent number 954-427-11400 it has 11 number stupid.

I just got a text from this 813 666 8917 number stating my visa is blocked due to suspicious activities. When I called back the voicemail asked for my entire 16 digits. First of all I don't have a visa. second my bank does not offer such a thing. Please be aware of this scam and do not give your card number over the phone to this unknown recording!

my daughter got this text and was worried so she called and put in her card number, but stopped after that and hung up. i called it and put in random numbers until it got to asking for the pin number. it even asks for the last 4 of your SSN. i am glad my daughter called me immediately after hanging up with them. told her to call her bank and see what they say, they said cancel the card now. whatch out and DO NOT CALL THEM. the voice is totally automated and it will not let you speak to a person.

I got the same text last night and called. It asked me for my card number, so I tried pressing "0" or "#" to get an operator, but it would not let me. I called the bank and they told me there was no suspicious activity, that this was definitely a scam. I could tell by the various misspellings of the text: "Account temporary locked! Due the suspicious activity on your account your visa debit card has been temporary locked. To unlock please call security department at 813668917." This is exactly how it reads, and you can tell by the misspellings and omissions that this was written by an idiot.
