soeone called from that number---i did not answer

Calling the number back sends the caller to a Bank of America customer support center for loans. Never had a BofA loan but am a former customer, they may be using this number in their call center to try and recover departed customers (or collections).

This is a legitimate number for the Bank of America loan servicing center. If you have recently applied for a loan, re-fi or credit card, you may receive a call from this number.

We recently responded to a local travel agency's postcard for trip information and to claim a prize (The travel agency has a AAA rating w/ the BBB). I called to cancel the appointment set up because I was afraid it was a scam of some sort; I read some negative postings on the internet- including respondants receiving credit cards through Bank of America they never applied for......
