scammed me out of 200 dollars they called about payday loan

I do believe this to be a scam. They go by the name of rice and assoc.
No collection comp found when I googled it. They said that I owed over $ 1000
For a payday loan from "money and more"  from 2008. I googled them too. Nothing.
She told me that it was that high because of the pending lawsuit being filed against me.
I said well what was the original amount of the loan. She couldn't tell me that info.
I told her that I never recieved a payday loan from anyone. Then she got mad and threatened me.
If you don't pay this you will be taken to court and charged with attempting to
Defraud a financial institution and some other charges.
I told her I would see her in court. She said fine I will put on the paper
As a refusal to pay and hung up. I then had to more calls within 5 mins. Red flags if these people contact you don't give them your money.

Received call where caller stated that 1000.00 NSF check.
I immediately hung up while he was still talking.
Based on the posts below and the similarity between the dollar amounts I also believe this to be a scam.

They also go buy Royce and Associates they've called me before also stating if I didn't pay by 3:00 they would Issue a warrant (hahaha!!!) the Lady I spoke to was Tory Dixon and answered as the operator and said "Compliance"

Don't be afraid of those people , there a joke also look at 813-444-4510,813-444-4511,813-444-4512,4513,4514,4515,4516 and 4517 !

they called my elderly mom with the same foolishness, she was so upset until i was going to pay the 953.50 for them to stop calling my mom, after talking the this young lady she put me on hold saying she was going to speak to someone about making a lesser payment, from pass experience with dealing with lawers, they will not speak to anyone with such bad tones, or take it upon them selves to give you a lower payment amount, i will pay them any thing i will give them my family laywer number.
