At this time (10/26/2013) this number is being used to "cold call" people to tell them their computer is sending out something to their server and it needs to stop.

They want you to go to you computer and download things to stop it.

I work in IT .. no one cold calls a home to tell them their PC is broken.

This is an attempt to get you to download a virus!

So when some guy from India with REAL bad English calls ... tell him f$#% you and your reporting the call to the FBI.


It is HORRIBLE attempt at social engineering .. He could not even tell me who my provider was (ISP / who i get my internet from) ........

Called my landline home phone; did not leave message. When I tried to call the number, a recording said: " This is a text message." I will block the number.

Well, my block on the landline phone did not work because this is a political call. I have forwarded my landline number to mu cell phone and they called again today. Left a long message re a victory rally in Tampa for Romney. Verizon wireless will block any number, political or not, so I put the block on the wireless site. Even though I am a republican, I don't appreciate the phone calls.

Received multiple phone calls about me having a computer problem, and they wanted online access to my system to fix it.

No company I know of makes cold calls about a problem and asked of access.   This is a scam and I wanted to report it so no one gets hurt following directions from these callers.
