I just got off the phone with these people and I am relieved to see all the above comments. They called and told me I had 3 criminal charges against me and that I needed to talk to his supervisor. They both said they were officers and I should have known right away something was up when they went to tell me there names they had to pause like they were looking at what name they were using today (I am assuming they are from over seas as well)! After they explained the charges, which was basically not paying a pay day loan back, which I am sure is true, I did that a few times a few years ago, I ended up interrupting him and told him I was at work and this wasn't a good time to talk and he said well then I will just send a police officer to your work. I asked what address he had for my work and he said well your home address is blah blah blah, which is right and so I asked again, whats my work address and he said oh I can't tell you that but I can tell you that you work for blah blah, which was wrong so I laughed and hung up.
I did call my local sheriffs office because I have been in trouble for bad checks from a few years ago recently so I wanted to make sure and they weren't very helpful, dumb-[***] didn't wan't to do her job and look it up for me just told me I should work it out with the people that called. So that is when I turned to google and found all the people saying they were a scam. So I am relieved they are a scam but I do not like the fact they knew my address AND they knew my SSN which they said over the phone like twice, which I never confirmed with them that it was it. May need to get some sort of protection on it.
