Called my cell. My so called call blocker does not really block but immediately sends to voicemail. Robocall telling me they mailed me a reminder that my vehicle warranty has expired and this is a courtesy call to remind me. Yeah right!  After a pause it repeats "would you like to speak to a warranty specialist?" to extend my warranty. Sorry folks my warranty expired a long time ago. This is a spam robo call. They also said the mailing was the final as was the "courtesy" call. If only!

Another spam caller disturbing my train of thought.  Why is the FCC powerless to stop these?  This happens at least once a week on my cell phone.

Didn't recognize number. Didn't answer. No message left. Will block

The FTC and top communications companies met several times, to determine what they can do to stop robocalls and other illegal calls.  Here is a link to a page showing the history and conclusions of various initiatives, as well as links to recent Congressional bills and Industry Implementations.

(I strongly suggest you access the above page, and read the history and progress of
H.R.2669 - Anti-Spoofing Act of 2015
and
S.2558 - Spoofing Prevention Act of 2016
to learn how [slowly] bills progress through our Congressional system, even when there is bilateral agreement that something should be done.)
