Gave his name and asked if I remember him.  No.  Said he lived on nearby street.  Call is from Thousand Oaks miles away.  Pushing to do house painting or repair work.

An unwanted call from this Newbury Park landline number arrived today.  When the answering machine picked up, the caller left no message, just dead space.  Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) do this all the time while trolling the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.

There is some evidence the caller may be a scam contractor.  In fact, the website www.whitepages.com describes this number as "scam or fraud."  I'm soooooooooo surprised!!!!!!!!!!

They called when I was out and did not leave a message. The telemarketers usually do not.

Another unwanted call from this Newbury Park landline number arrived today, just 2 weeks since the last unwanted call on Aug. 4.  Once again, when the answering machine picked up, the caller left no message, just dead space.  Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) often do this while trolling the phone lines, desperately seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.

Posters suggest the caller may be a scam contractor, many of whom troll the phone lines.  Whether it's home repairs, computer repairs, vacation giveaways, credit cards, fake charities, or the IRS, A SCAM IS A SCAM IS A SCAM!

Called and left message using the ugly "n" and "f" word. I was horrified!
