They just called me. Left the same message everyone else is getting. It's a scam

I got the same call from Linda. Called back got the same message that the google subscriber wasn't available. Called the SSA general number to report fraud. The agent was a bit oblivious as to what this call could be. (So sad for when less observant people call in) Decided to call the Office of the Inspector General. Still waiting for a call back.

When I returned the call, they had my name AND SS#, They started off with the Texas crime stuff with me also.  They said they were wiping bank accounts clean and then said they are going to ruin my life???  I contacted the credit bureau, credit card co, and bank to put a fraud suspension on my accounts.  Be careful people! I don't know if they already had my information or if they were able to hack into my smart phone when I returned the call.

Calling several times a day.  I haven't answered but they leave a threatening message about ..."only have until the end of the day to call them back at 805-317-6860 before my Ss is suspended.". That is in fact the current phone number for the Texas Ss administration, so, it is a frightening call to receive.  Although, I have never even been to Texas and after reading all of these comments, I am relieved by the likelihood that this is a SCAM.  They need to be stopped quickly.  I damn near had a heart attack!  These are sick and demented criminals that should spend their life behind bars...
