My call Blocker identified this as a possible Scammer.

No message, don't know anyone in 804 area code, second unknown call from this area.

Called other day at 2:56 PM PDT.(Tuesday) on 24th of January 2017. Caller ID showed "CHILDFUND / 804-495-8987". We Let answering machine pickup & Caller didn't leave any  message on our answering machine.

Be wary of "charities". They often sell your personal info to other "charities".....

I have been a childfund sponsor for 30+ years and they have never done calls like this but they are coming from childfund.  They are using vendors to place calls in an attempt to find sponsors for children and yes the calls do come across as scams.  I would not pick up calls from vendors but you can go to the website for childfund and get THEIR number and if you call them they say they will take your number off.
