I received a call from these people. The told me that I owed this debt. When I asked for proof that the debt was mine, the agent told me that I was given proof when they sent me a bill. This is not showing proof according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. They have to provide a signature on some document to show proof that the debt is mine. They become belligerent with me and said fine "we will just put it on your credit" and then hung up on me. I known my rights as a consumer and they do have to show proof of debt and if they do not prove the debt, then the debt could be removed from credit report forever.
