Started messaging a girl yesterday on meetme who said she was babysitting and would text me later. Later on we start texting and we swap pics. Says she wanted to send a video, of which I never received. And never heard from "her" again that night.
The next day her father calls me saying that it was going to cost him $800 to disconnect her phone and cancel her plan and $1200 to fix the lap top that was broke. He said he was willing to meet half way if I could pay him $1000 in increments. This mans name was "James Davis"

Same thing happened to me and asked me to send western union to Erin Peeler.  Said his name was Michael Powell. Started off super aggressive threatening police then tried to make me feel he was on my side and would help me make it go away.  But I needed to pay for a cell phone early termination and outstanding balance.  I said I'd call Verizon and pay for it, just so I could see what he said because I realized he was scamming.  He then said it had already been done.  So he apparently cancelled the line but was talking to me on the very line he had supposedly cancelled.  I offered to pay via PayPal, chase epay, or some other traceable form.  He wanted only western union to Erin Peeler.  Talked to a real police officer and he said 100% a scam and to block the number and not have any communication with them and if they try using other numbers to contact the police but that there was probably little they could do.
