I got a call from this # today stating they are the IRS and that they are filing suit against me.  They used another # too recently.  This is not the IRS.   It is someone portraying they are and it is always a recording.  My understanding IRS does not make such calls or recordings.  They send a letter(s) first.  This is a Scam.

Same as Jerry. I just got a call and it was a recording saying that the IRS was filing a law suit against me and that it was a final warning. I have read that they send letters first (and a bunch of them) before ever making a phone call. Scam scam scam. I didn't answer a call this morning and it was the same area code, so I'm guessing they are fishing.

Got the same call twice today - this one leaves a message for you to call back.  CID said "Wireless Caller" on first, "Out of Area" on second.  The IRS will NEVER, EVER, EVER contact you by phone about delinquent taxes - they ALWAYS contact by USPS, so that there is a paper trail!  Don't fall for these scammers!

Total scammers. Third # I have got the same message from. The IRS does NOT CALL. They write letters.

Got the same call.  Scam.  Can tell it's a call center.  Foriegn accent.  Asking for name and who owns my telephone number.
