Before you can speak the calling is talking.  The only thing that is consistent is "this is on a recorded line. Can you hear me?"  We've had several calls like this from various numbers.  Caller is trying to get you to say Yes.  This is an old scam that seems to have started up again.  They get your recorded Yes and, if you stay on the line, various other comments that they then cut into a different conversation. A conversation that now indicates that you have agreed to make whatever purchases they are claiming you made.  If you get a call like this best to just hang up just don't say Yes.  Fair warning.

Called, no message

I got a couple of calls from an unrecognized number.  No message was left (either time).  As usual, I did not answer, and I looked up the number here.  (800Notes is my go-to.)  Thank you for posting your experience!  I will be adding this number to my "Telemarketer" contact, which has a silent ringtone and is blocked.  (I won't be bothered by this number again.)  An Unrecognized Number + No Message = Scamarketer.

Called twice. . .did not answer first time.  "Joe" said he was on a recorded line, press one if you want to be removed from call list.  Joe is on Auto Reject as of today.
