around 10 am today received call from 1-801-850-6052. "Joseph Smith" on the caller id. man identified himself as from pg&e (electric utility company), calling to confirm a disconnection order for my business by the address. he asked to speak to the manager, whomever was responsible for the bill. he said they had sent two notices... ( our billing is sent to a different address, so i didn't have a clue but thought it was strange to call my number not the billing address number...) he said a tech. was going to disconnect the electricity within 45 min. to 1 hour. gave me this number to call 1-888-473-0338, I called, it is a phony pg&e recording. so glad i didn't fall for it!  please watch out these guys are slick, before you pay anyone for anything call the real pg&e to find out what's up.

A person from this number called our business pretending to be Dominion (our local electric utility company) saying they were going to shut off our electricity for "non-payment." He then said they would send out a technician in the next hour. Gave me a good laugh since we definitely pay our electricity bills. But it's also scary-- I know other people might fall for this scam!

Called from this number, pretended to be Dominion Virginia Power - we had one hour before someone came to cut off our power service. We were told if we went and got a Reload It card (rechargeable debit card), we could do a same day payment to avoid the cut off.

Total BS, so infuriating. He had me going for a while until I realized (duh!) I'd been making payments on time, every month for over three years.

Was asked to call (888) 514-2270 to make the payment - Answered as Dominion with a machine and menu, very clever. Also a FAKE number.
