I had a posting on Craigslist(New York) as well and I received text messages inquiring about the ad I had posted.  I was told the person was out of Utah( number search does show Utah #).  They told me they were in the military as instructor for new recruits.  They then asked for my Paypal address to make payment.  I asked how they would then be  getting the item I had posted and they said that there would be a "pick up agent" that would come after I received payment.  I could be over reacting but this type of transaction is exactly what Craigslist and other sites say to stay away from.  The whole thing just seemed odd to me.  I never gave my Paypal info or my phone info that they wanted.  Hope this can deter others from possible scammers that may be  out there
