Received a call from this number 3 minutes ago. The guy asked if my husband was here. When I said no, he hung up on me. I called the number back and it says it's a non working number

The caller said they were an auto warranty company calling about a car I no longer own. I asked where he got my number he said he didn't know it just came up on his screen. I asked to be put on their do not call list and was hung up on. I tried to call back with a failed result. I tried to call without using the + and adding *67 then I was told the number was not in service.
