I get one call, no answer on the line. Shortly after, I get a call from the same number and I leave it ring. Nothing! No answer comes on my machine. When I *69, The recording says that this number is not in service! How does this happen?

Yup -- hung up on me when I answered -- then when I called the number back, got a recording that the number was not in service. Why waste everyone's time calling if you're not going to have a pitch to sell -- unless they're checking to see if someone's home?

received call from this number, identified themselves as calling from ADT regarding security systems - I hung up.

This number called our International HQ and asked for a member of an associated office. The caller-id identified the number as "Utah."

Got a call from 801-410-7248 so I looked it up and read some of the posts on this site. I called the number back and a recording said the number was not in service. An intelligent IT person can place a call so that the number displayed on your caller ID is different than the one they are actually calling from. Beware of scammers!
