Doesn't seem like you took the time to read this ""I have not seen anything negative happen from that but it's just good to be aware," Thomas said. "  So she wasn't scammed.  What you have a documented report by "the sky is falling" people, not a documented event of someone actually getting scammed or how they got scammed.  You won't post a documented, verifiable example of someone was scammed with nothing more than that word on a recording because you can't find one.  I know I tried and haven't been successful.  So, come back and give us the "we don't have to prove anything to you (while thinking, darn sure wish I could find someone who was scammed this way)"

No msg on several calls over the past few days and I have not answered the unknown number - it's a local one just north of Salt Lake City in Utah, so thought it possible that it belongs to a real person dialing a wrong #, so this morning I called the number, 801-218-2799.
It's an automated recording from Research Rewards, who want me to take a "short" survey (giving me no clue what survey is about and promising some reward) so likely a scam. Unfortunately, no opt-out option, but direction to click on "1" to agree to take survey. Won't do that. Hv marked it as spam on my phone.

Reply to Brady - yes, it's a documented scam - that's why people know about it - it's been in newspapers and elsewhere on Web - here's an FCC warning via link on ABC News:  http://abcnews.go.com/Business/fcc-warns-cons ... ory?id=46405703
