My sister received the same call on Saturday: “your brother was in accident and needed money”. This scam is planned in Dominican Republic, Punta Cana. They get the information from the hotels there, Be careful please. Do not fall for this scam and not provide personal information at the time of check in.

I just received the same call, claiming my brother was in an accident and was being help captive.  Trick is dont give them a name, let them give you their name.  I called back he actually picked up and I had a nice exchange of words with him. The guy is Puertorican.
