Selling a product, holding a luncheon of some sort. The message on my voicemail system started in the middle, so I didn't hear who it was or what product they are talking about. Maybe they're trying to get me to buy a product. Maybe they know I'm in sales and are trying to get me to sell a product. Whatever they're doing, they tried two times, only leaving a message the second time. And the last half of the message has me pressing 1 to connect, pressing 2 to be removed from the list. No way will I do either, and tell their software they got a live person to hear it. That just adds me to their software's sucker list.
If they ever Google their phone number and see this, they will realize they might not have the most reliable dialing software out there, if it's going to start in the middle of a message. And they might want to think about how to effectively get the word to me and other sales reps. We don't tend to take taking auto-dialing, recorded solicitations seriously, and neither should they. It's tacky and unprofessional.
Or, maybe they're trying to scam me. Whatever, I don't care. The number isn't associated with anything concrete on the Internet.
