They keep calling  saying they are from DELL and HP and they want to do a survey.   I ask them how they got this number  (my home number) and why they are calling when I'm spending time with my children.  They try to ask leading questions gathering info to then call you back with sales pitches.

I got the same call today, but didn't get a chance to answer it...I've been doing online surveys lately, and that's where they're from.  Perhaps you filled out an online survey, or joined one of the survey websites?

It appears that anything you do online they are able to find your phone number. The problem I have with this is that I did not submit anything. Also I am on the dang DO NOT CALL LIST!. I will be reporting all these numbers to them shortly.

I recieved a call from this number and do not know it. I did not even get a message of anykind left after they had called again I do not know this number

I have received 59 phone calls since Sept. 25 when I went online to apply for a job through Jobs.com, I requested that no one call me when ask the question "Do you wish to further your education". It appears that they do not read that part, and instantly your name and number is shared with 100's of company's and schools trying to talk you into some kind of scam, or encourage you to further your education,  It has been overwhelming and is driving me crazy, I make sure to answer all the calls just so I  can tell them "Please take me off your call list, im not interested". Its a shame you cannot apply for a job in person these days, its all online, what a scam!!!!
