They called and when he answered I said I don't even live in Florida and never have. They claimed to be the IRS and hung up on me.

This is a SCAM. Don't respond to them and file a complaint with the fbi. There is a website that you can go to to report the scam. Lastly, educate the elderly, they are being victimized everyday by scams such as these.
