The only thing I can think of is someone's tapping your phone.  Sprint is the only company they can do this with.  It's called Spoofing, something like that.  All they have to do is dial your #, you answer and hang up and they can listen to your messages, conversations etc.  Therefore, don't answer #'s you're not familiar with.  If it's important they will leave a message.  This spoofing is free online, and it's not illegal because no one every took it to court.  Good luck finding them.  Most likely it's someone you know, perhaps and ex.  Best thing to do is take your battery out, this is the only way they can't listen in on u, they can also view you thru your camera phone, that's if you have a camera phone.

I just got the text message.  I found out that if you are a Sprint customer you can just log on to the Sprint.com website and go to the link My Online Tools which will take you to a page with several different tools.  Under the Communication Tools section you can see a link that says Block Text Messages.  Click the link and just follow the directions.  You can add a whole list of numbers so if you get more in the future from other spammers you can block them too.
