We have received numerous calls from this number stating that he wants to help with computer problems, specifically Micro-soft.  Have told him not to call again, but that doesn't seem to work.  Is there any way to stop the calls.  The caller I.D. doesn't display this number when the call comes in, but hit redial and this is the number that was automatically dialed and all I got was a busy signal.  When the call comes in a cell phone with someone's name appears.

just rec a call from 781 424 5128.  thought maybe it was my brother as he is visiting up in the England states. when I answered, no one was on the phone. looking at previous comments I know its a scam.  just received early in the day another call from 801 601 8565 (out of Utah) a Peter claiming he worked at Microsoft and my computer had a virus.  Originally the caller id had no number but I asked what his number was and he gave the 801 #.  This peter had an Indian accent.

this number has called 2-3 times per day for the last several weeks. It follows a hacking attempt where they displayed a prominent "You've been hacked" alert on my Apple laptop, complete with blaring sounds, a Norton screen in the background and a Chrome logo in the window. There was a number to call. I could not shut down the screen until I shut everything off.

I shut down all computers, the router, and went in to Defcon 4 in our security.

I reported the attempted hack to authorities, including the TX Attorney General's office where my sister in law is an attorney.

This is a huge scam! Beware. They claim you have a virus but want to hack your computer.

Also--they are from India, operating as RGS Security. There is an 888 number associated with it. Beware!
