Just received a call from this number and they said they were AARP Roadside Assistance, offering me a $5 discount if I renewed today using a credit card. I was suspicious because I renewed in March for three years. She had my PO Box and street address but she used my current married name, and my assistance is under my former name and has never been changed. I told her I would check with AARP and pay it online if it was due, would not give her my card number, and after a little more arguing she hung up. I then called ARRP Roadside Assistance to report the call and the phone number (which Google tells me is also used for fake calls claiming to be the IRS). The rep was foreign and I'm not sure she understood everything I was saying, but she confirmed that they did not call me and my membership is not due. I gave her the number which made the call, and I don't think she wrote it down.

the number 779-201-1792 show up on  my cid as  roadside assistance. called three times in an hour-never a message. never answered it since I already have assistance and I was sleeping at the time. they started at 8am.

Called this morning, no name on caller ID, stated was AARP  Roadside Assistance to verify all my information, my Roadside Assistance has not expired, I hung up on her. Do no think it was AARP, stated her name was Amanda. I Called 800-719-3295 to verify that they are having calls made from this number and they stated would have someone look into it.  I advised the lady that why would they need to verify all my information when my Roadside Assistance has not expired, she was no help, said she would have someone call me back.  I told her if AARP was calling, it should show up on caller ID, not be blocked.

Just received same call .  They left no message.  Then checked with 800notes.com to see if there were others receiving calls from this number.

called. did not leave v/m.  have a feeling this number is same scammers calling me, with other numbers, in regards to delivery of documents.  this call was from Rockford, IL.  BEWARE PEOPLE !! DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFO.  LIKE D.O.B. NAME, SS# or YOUR ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER.
