don't answer!! Cold Call/Phishing Scam.

Got a phone call from this number today claiming to be GE Home Security. It was a woman and they said I won some kind of contest and won a free security system. It told her I needed to call her back and conviently there was no call back number. When I called the number on m caller Id back it just said there was no mailbox availble for this person. definatetly a scam. Just thought I would post so maybe it prevent someone from being scammed.

Got the same call here in north carolina. Same result on the call back. Most likely a scam of some kind.

got 2 calls from 774-206-1649 and 774-206-1579.......I believe its the people in the mall that have the John Deer lawn mower give away because my dad got a call similar to these numbers and they mentioned the GE Home Security and a stove give away. And after reading the other messages here I know it was them and if they call again I'll know to answer and have them take my number off.

A woman called from this number late last night asking if my husband (whose name does not appear on our phone bill) entered a contest to win a tractor. He said he didn't, but I vaguely recalled submitting an entry about 3 years ago... in MY name. The woman said "Congratulations, the drawing will be September 1st... " (4 years from time of entry?) & then proceeded to tell me about a home security plan which I could get free... I asked how she got my number, she said it was on the entry form... I told her it was definitely not. I used the number I had 3 years ago, not the one I just got... very suspicious considering my numbers have been unlisted & nonpublished & my husband's name should not have appeared anywhere... reported to DoNotCall.gov
