Bogus claim of visit to affiliate web site and offer of gift card

RoboCall about student loan debt; no answer when I pressed 1 to speak to a live person behind the scam. I wonder if Congress could do something about this ongoing harassment of citizens by these scamsters, or are they too busy passing go-nowhere legislation and taking time off for junkets?

Just got this same call.  Unfortunately the large majority of these calls come from outside the country from folks with American issued numbers and our lawmakers have no authority. I would like to think the American companies who issue this phone numbers would be a little more proactive, but they are not doing anything illegal and we all know that they are not about to turn down a paying customer.
