Most likely a debt collector scam.  One of their favorite tricks is to cold-call you and tell you they have a returned from your bank. (Somehow in their possession). Of course, if that were the case, your bank would notify you directly and also ID itself.

Some robo call saying an item was returned from my bank. Gave me some 404 area code number to call. When I traced it, nothing came up. It definitely isn't legitimate.
