I received an automated call stating that it was the US Treasury calling and that I had defrauded the treasury. No idea what they are talking about but I called anyway. A man with a thick indian accent answered. I hung up. The IRS doesn't use automated systems and certainly not from California when I live in NC.

Not sure what the # was they called from but an automated recording said that if I did not
call 760-356-8596 a warrant would be issued for my arrest. They did not state who they were
or who to ask for in the message. Saved the # to look up but so far I have only found it blocked unless I pay a fee for more information. I found that it seems to be from Holtsville, Ca. on a few sites and one site said Vista, Ca. Also, carrier is listed as Pacific Bell on two
sites and states that it is a land line. Other sites say it is a cell phone and then another says it is a Voip phone. I also came across a site that said it was reported to be extortion in the last 90 days. I am going to ignore it! I am wondering at this point if these sites that want you to pay for more information are actually trying to drum up some business! Do not know for
a fact, just thinking out loud. Going to see if the Gov has any info on this being a scam as they are going on a lot.

UPDATE:  Found info on 760-356-8596. The Number belongs to Lisha Wood on Edwards RD. in Bonds Corner Calif. It is close to the Mexican border.  Did not get a number for the
address yet.
