got a call after 8pm. when i called right back it said that their offices are closed. why call me if they arent even open?

Calls, leaves no message...can't be that important

Just started calling.  I have caller ID and it says R & B Corp.  Probably some bill collector but I do not have a Cox account. They can stand in line.  Would love to pay everyone I owe, but with no income...  Guess I'll just wait for my government bailout.  With Wall St. and the financial institutions taken care of I can't be that much farther down the line!

BTW - You are much better off dealing directly with your debtors than the collection yahoos.  They are usually very sketchy, often ask for more than owed, and typically extremely rude.

They call my cell multiple times daily...

I got a call from these idjits last night, asking for my previous married name.  I have no idea who this is.  They didn't say.  I just told them that nobody by this name is at this number.
