I just received a text from this number saying my bank account has been deactivated.

My husband Received a text from  this number claiming that my husbands card has been deactivated so I called the number it was a recording saying it was card services open 24 hrs a day the it says please enter your 16 digit card number. I am not stupid I know it has to be a scam so I just hung up.

Security company Cloudmark created a spam messaging reporting service that nation’s major wireless carriers agreed earlier this year to start using. Now, customers of AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and others can forward their text spam message to 7726. The mobile phone carrier will ask customers for the phone number that’s linked to the spam message so they and Cloudmark can start investigating.

just received the same text about my card. i knew it was b.s. so i Googled the number and came up in the results
