This number attempted to perpetrate a PayPal scam using an ad I posted on craigslist.  However, I recognized the scam and blocked the number before entering into any transaction.

This is a well-known scam whereby the scammer asks to use PayPal, but they are willing to pay extra.  Then, they want the victim to send a cashier's check or money order to the scammer in the amount of the difference, minus a little for your trouble of course.  They are also unable to meet in person, and state that they will send an "agent" to collect the purchased item.

In my case the scammer claimed to be a Flight Attendant with AA in New Jersey.

The same scheme was also attempted from 408-618-3622 on a separate craigslist item.

Same as Rusty. I was contacted by Kate to by an item. She stated she worked for American Airlines and couldn't see me in person. Pure SCAM. Don't do anything with this person.

Caller tried scamming me with a fake PayPal confirmation email (onlinepaymentconfirmation.us@gmail.com). Buyer intended to buy something from me on eBay by emailing me that he needed to change his original shipping address in Missouri to a new shipping address in Nigeria. It was already a red flag to me when he told me he would pay an extra $150 for shipping costs and told me to send it out asap. Of course, I did not follow through and cancelled my invoice with this scammer.
