My wife hung up as they would not take no for an answer

I am on the national do not call list and i have reported them.  they are not only calling from that number but another one as well.  I reported both numbers.  They say they are police and I say do not call here again and they try to talk over you and try to continue to get they word in and I ended up pushing one of the buttons on the phone because I was tired of the rude man and him trying to bully me!

They said.... this is the fraternal order of police and this call may be recorded, okay.  I said nope it is not okay and don't call here again and that is when he started to try to talk over me and I ended up pushing a button on the phone for a long time and then hung up.

The next time they call I am going say ooohhh hold on one sec while I turn on while I turn on my recorder to record and monitor our conversation, okay.  I would be willing to bet they end the call.... I do not believe they are anything other than someone trying to get money.

Ellen, maybe yes, maybe no. Charity's are exempt as a rule. However, if they are asked not to call, then they can get in trouble. Reporting them to the DNC isn't going to do anything since it is meant for telemarketers only. You need to report them to the FTC, FCC.
