Received call from above number 2/05/13 - with message to call back regarding legal matter. Called back and spoke to Mary. Was told that there was a legal matter regarding my social security number. I ask for further info and was told someone from the sheriff's office would call back in 45 minutes. I then told her that she was a scammer and I was going to report the call to the Attorney General, police department, FTC and the BBB. Before I could finish, she hung up.

Same thing just happened to me. He said his name was John Carter. Isnt that a character in a movie? Seriously? With a heavy Indian accent. I told him, no your name is not John Carter and I do not have any payday loans like your about to lie and tell me, this is a scam and I will report this number your fake name and the fact that your trying to impersonate law enforcement to the proper authorities. Then I hung up and added the number to my block list.

Same as here as first post. But they were calling my boss incessantly.

I received calls from this number and a number of 877-246-7836, just like the first post. can do you report these numbers. will it help if i change my phone number. all these threats are making me a nervous wreck and scared.. Please help
