The person created a scam claiming to be a landlord renting me a home. We spoke and texted with this number. I filed a police report and I would like the name on this account.

I received an email claiming that they were from the Department Of Treasury and I had unclaimed money in the amount of $10,000,000, for me to contact them at (724) 472-8895. They also left me an address which led to the Department of Treasury but anyone could copy and paste an address. Anyways, I just wanted to verify this scam and warn others of the same or similar attempts if they come across these types of emails.

Forward the e-mail to your ISP's Postmaster and let them know this individual is using the internet to commit a crime.

...and why would the REAL Department of the Treasury be using a hotmail account when they have an official .gov website? If you Google search this email address (info@fbi.gov) it will take you to the real FBI website and they explain it all there. This is just another way to get you to open an attachment that will infect your electronic device with a virus.
