Didn't pick up.  They didn't leave a message.

Rang three times, no message !!

Answering machine picked-up and no message was left.  I picked up once and after 5 seconds of saying "Hello" no one answered then I said "Goodbye" and hung up!

I called the number and it was answered with a voice reply that said: "Thank you for calling back; if you would like to be removed from our promotional calls please press "1" now."  I did and then another recording said "Please allow up to 72 hours for your number to be removed from our preferred customer promotional list."

caller id said "Alert" .. left lengthy message on our answering machine regarding a senior citizen discount on something. ... and ended with "press 5 to be removed from our calling list".
