OMG this place is crazy. A woman just left a message on my mom's answering machine. "Hi (mom's name), this is Kayla Howard. I am trying to get a hold of (my name). Please have her call me at 720-494-2980.

It is BC Services, what I have found they collect most of the debt for Longmont businesses.

This place has NEVER called MY house or sent me anything in the mail. I haven't lived with my mom for eight years!

Highly unlikely you are telling the truth. Wage garnishment takes a court order after a judgement against you for unpaid debt has been granted and you refuse to settle or fail to make the court ordered payments. One exception is the IRS but they send lots and lots of mail before that happens. So unless you ignored a court summons about being sued for a debt long past due, I doubt your statement is true.

Yeah, right. If they garnished your wages, why did you look up their number? You obviously know who they are because their name would be on the garnishment paperwork. Oh, wait, you claim they did it without your knowledge. How did they manage to do that?

They file in your county without sending you a copy of intent stating  they could not reach you to the court. Since you do not receive notice, you don't show up and the judgement  goes to bc services. You don't find out until hr alerts you wage garnishment has been assigned. That's how it happens.
