Terry called - asked for the FA. At first she said she wasn't a client but had some questions re-a 401k.   I asked her if the 401k was with my firm and she said yes.  This didn't sound legitimate but I asked her for her acct. number.  She got rude and said she only wanted to go over this once & please have the FA call her back.  I tried to explain that I was just wanting a little prelim info so when the FA called her back he would be up to speed but she cut me off and said "just have the financial advisor give me a call - I only want to do this once".  I took her number and Googled it.......discovered she works for a company that wants to sell you leads.  Not gonna happen!

A person by the name of Terry Johnson called and asked for our FA.  She said that she needed information pertaining to a 401(k) plan and needed information asap AND that she wanted to take care of the situation all at once.  I then asked her if she was local and she became very vague.  So, I took the phone number, hung up with her,  and searched it on Google.  Lo and behold, it was a telemarketer!!  (surprise!!!!)  So, I dialed the number back from the office phone, but got her voicemail.  Then I thought I would beat her at her game and call from my cell phone and she answered!!  I asked her to please not call our office again because we neither have time for nor do we appreciate such calls and she became very defensive.  I warned her not to call back and that I was going to report the call online as harrassment.  She then became extrememy rude, so I told her to get a real job and I hung up.

Terry called and asked for the financial advisor by name. I asked what the call was concerning and she said it had to do with a 401k.  I asked if she was local, and she quickly said this was the best number to reach her back at.  After reading the above comments, I called the number back and got her voicemail. I left a message to remove our name from their call list, or I would report them.

My experience was similar to those listed here. She said her name was Terry or Carrie Jackson? She gave me a number. When I questioned her she said that it was regarding HER 401k. I asked where she worked and she seemed frustrated and said that she only wanted to go over it one time and she hung up.

Just as described from the previous comments....She is very vague and tries to get to the FA by making it sound she needs "help" with her 401k.....it's time we start to take action on these telemarking peeps.  I called her back and gave her our office number and told her to stop calling and remove us off her list.
