Long pause when I answered so I muted the call.  A few seconds later a woman came on asking to speak to the business owner.  Call was still muted and she said thank you and hung up about 5 seconds after coming on the line.

This phone number calls our office about once a week.  After a long pause, someone comes on the line and asks to speak to the business owner.  After asking what it's regarding they hang up on me.

This time, it sounded like the woman put me on mute after each time she spoke... when I would respond, she would take me off of mute and say "hello?" before putting me back on mute.  The line was quiet for a while before I said, "WHAT CAN I HELP YOU WITH?".  She hung up on me.

Called again this morning when I was away from my phone and left no message.  I blocked my number and called back...the standard Verizon message saying the number was no longer in service came on, so obviously a spoofed number trying to target people in the Denver area with one of our local area codes.  Can we say 'PARASITE'?
