Received a text from 1 (720) 248-7135 requesting to buy an item I put on craigslist for $150 more than what I was asking to ship it to their cousin in Lagos Nigeria. The email they gave me so I could request funds from them is:

rev.mansfieldge1@gmail.com

The first text was just the item name I listed. I asked if they were interested in buying the item...

Them: I will offer you $850 total inclusive S&H expenses to my cousin. I need your PayPal email so I can pay now
me: what address do you want it mailed too?
them: the shipping will cost you 60-90 bucks at the USPS post office, Cux you are to mail it express mail international (3-5) business days delivery, I will include all shipping expenses in the payment, I want it for my cousin outta states in Lagos Nigeria
them: kindly get back to me with your PayPal email so I can proceed in making the payment now. Once done the verified shipping address will be sent to you by PayPal
me: i need your email to request the funds from you first
them: rev.mansfieldge1@gmail.com

Seems a little creepy to me, what do you think?

Total scam.  If you see the word Nigeria in an e-mail, you can be assured it's a scam.

Yes, I went with my gut feeling and  you are all right. Total scam. He is begging me to open up his email to click on the paypal link where it will show his funds have been paid! I refuse to open the email, but told him that I did and that I still haven't received his funds! He is sending me texts and I can feel his frustration! I feel a little sad at how desperate he is, but I am not falling for it!

Report him to Craigslist also, if you haven't already done so.
