Aggressive fraud, poses as debt collector. Told ME my social security number, demanding payment for a credit card I've never had. Became extremely hostile when I told him I'd never had a Discover card.

Have placed their number on block, but they started calling from a new number, (as of 11/25/14 they have called from a third number). All calls have used a recorded message which asks for you to call back a toll free number. When I put the first number on block (a Colorado Springs, CO area code), they called back 2 days later with a Denver area code (11/25/14 another Denver area code BUT! one reverse lookup lists all three of these calls as originating from a New York, NY cellular service). Both calls used different toll free call back numbers. I only called them back the first time because it made no sense, the guy gave his name as Randy W. and the company as Halsted Financial Services. Third time, returned call to the 888 number stated, nothing but dead air when they pick up. Will be reporting this to the State Attorney General after them calling repeatedly for weeks now from 3 different numbers.

Be careful. These guys had my social security number and a married name I haven't used in nearly 10 years, who knows what else they have or use

We have had the same calls from all three of theses numbers including some New York numbers. They obviously have bought old debt or even discharged debt and are trying to collect on uncollectable or expired debt. They will not respond to any questioning of whom they really are.Ignore.Ignore.Ignore. You can't turn them in , to whom?. They don't care. If they bother you enough you might cave in. There's not a thing you can do about it. There is also a 201 number they call from. Karma eventually catches up with people like this usually in the form of sickness, that's may be why the turnover of employees is so great in theses industries. Just don't answer any calls from anybody you don't know period.

Just got a call and when I answered ,they hung up. SCAM!!

Got a call little while ago and said I owe money to ADVANCE AMERICA. got a similar call yesterday from a 720 #. I called ADVANCE America,and they took the number and they know its a scam!!
