Person with thick accent claims to be from the U.S. Treasury and asks about an issue with taxes (for me, it was 2010 tax year). She gave a name and badge number. When I stated I had not been contacted about this matter, she asked why I was lying to an officer of the government. She then stated the records show I was contacted by mail twice about the issue. When I asked about the address to which the notices were sent, she hung up.

Got the same call. Called back telling them I was reporting them to the FCC for impersonating a IRS collector. These a$$holes need to be shut down because they get people to bite on their scam.

I received a call from 719-220-7012 on my answering machine. The caller stated his name but I could not make it out. He said there was a an indictment or something issued by the treasury department and I needed to call him back so he could help me avoid going in front of the "magistrate" and avoiding jail.

I received a call fro 719-220-7012 on my answering machine. It was a recorded message that recorded over and over until time ran out on the answering machine. The caller stated his name but I could not make it out. He said there was a an indictment or something issued by the treasury department and I needed to call him back so he could help me avoid going in front of the "magistrate" and avoiding jail. I am having my fax machine call them periodically to screech in their ear. They messed with the wrong ex phone guy.

Caller left message, said I owed and would be arrested or fined if I did not contact them and it was in my best insterest to call. the caller had an indian/ or middle eastern accent.
