American Stock Transfer

I called them yesterday about my account and asked them to fax me the latest statement. They called the wrong number. I did get the fax right after this call...

Repetitive calls to my cell phone without leaving any messages. Annoying. I am on DNC list.

Repeated calls no messages

Just got a call from them asking for a member of my husband's family. They did not identify themselves. I had to do an internet search to find out the name of the company. How they got my number really concerns me as far as privacy is concerned. Gave them a piece of my mind!

I got a voicemail on my home phone from Link Shareholder Services LLC, which is supposedly affiliated with AST, regarding some stock I didn't know I had.  I called the number on the voicemail, 800-323-1404, and got voicemail there so left a message.  When they called back, the caller ID said 718-921-8200.  The lady I spoke to said there was stock purchased from a trust, not a trust I have any knowledge of.

Suspecting a scan, when I called them, I used the name they mentioned on the voicemail, which is my maiden name.  I did not give them my married name.  They wanted to verify my address, so I did give them my address, but anyone can find that on the internet.  They asked for the last 4 digits of my SSN, but I did not give them that, no way!

I strongly suspect this is a phishing scam, so I will not have any further contact with them.
