This is Verizon FIOS, trying to get customers to sign up or return. They don't take no for an answer and they ignore demands to stop calling. Ask once, record the time and date and person you spoke to and then the next time they call file a complaint with the FTC and the FCC. For what that's worth.

These people call just about every night, after 8 pm, sometimes as late as 9 or so. I don't want them calling me, but they won't stop!!

This is correct.
I answered the phone today and wasted their time for over 34 minutes. A personal best! :-D

I get at least a phone call every day from verizon even though I've asked repeatedly to stop calling me
