got the same call ... calls several times with the same message , I have also reported the call as a Scam to the IRS .. Blocked the number ...

I have received this same call & message several times on both my mobile & landline phones in recent weeks; although they may not have all come from the telephone number indicated here.  Recorded message is supposedly from "Alex Smith with the IRS and the call is in regard to the lawsuit that has been filed against me."  Such a call is *ALMOST* humorous as it is so outlandish. However there are many who will certainly believe that IRS has filed a lawsuit against them; and that is the truly unfortunate aspect of such calls / robocalls, emails and text messages. If only Congress would move on from the BS they spend majority of time with & work with the telecommunications companies to do something to stop unsolicited and unwanted contact such as this. As I told told "Alex" when I returned one of his recent calls & spoke with him in the past week or so; "prison will be certainly be awaiting him at some point soon."  All I can say is; "Alex, if you decide to ignore my advice & continue making these calls, I can only wish you good luck as events unfold."

I received 3 calls within a matter of 3 hours from 718 475-9290.. The recorded message on our answering machine said, "I am Alex Smith from the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) regarding a lawsuit filed against you by the IRS. The issue at hand is time sensitive. If you don't return the call, then I wish you good luck as the issue unfolds on you."

I got a call from this #.. I called phone company..its blocked..if these calls continue..you are the one in BIG trouble..stop now

I received the same message as everyone else here.  A man with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be from the IRS and to call back because a lawsuit has been filed against me.
