Supposedly it is Sharon Norton (badge ID: 7892127) with the Federal IRS. My case number is: ir589___. They had my name, old address, and ph number. Telling me there is going to be an arrest warrant issued today after this call because I did not file my taxes correctly. Today was the last date to pay according to the letter they sent me to my old address. I said that is my old address. She said I did not submit a D-7 form. At the end they tell me you will be arrested is this what you want? I said no. She had a very intimidating tone and said there was nothing else she could do but transfer me to the person that was going issue my arrest warrant. I talk to this other person and I told her I thought this was a scam. And she said I'm going to contact your local Police Department and they will come to your home and place of work and arrest you in the next 45 min. And she hung up. Scary but I'm pretty sure this is a scam.

I got the exact same call an hour ago and it was scary at but the more she talked the more I knew that she was trying to scam me..she told me that I will be arrested I. The next 30 min and she gave me a case number and she said that I had errors in my IRS files and when I asked her to be specific she refused to give me more info so I told her that my lawyer will contact them and that's when she hung up..total scam..

I just got the call too,  saying how I had several charges against me and blah blah blah blah.  What's funny is seeing how vulgar she got once I called her out for being a scam artist.   I mean, who is she trying to fool?

I received a voice message just 15 minutes ago from this number as well stating that i have multiple complaints against me and to call them. I called them and the lady said i will let the person call you. I am trying to contact my local IRS to find out if this is real or not. It is scary to receive a call like that but I know IRS will not do that and they normally send you a letter which I didnt receive any. If this is a scam, I hope they will pay for whatever they are doing soon.

I noticed this number on my caller ID. I checked my voice mail, but there was no message. I did receive numerous calls from two different numbers with 347 area code in two days. I did not talk with the person, but he left me urgent messages to call back. I had my accountant contacting him, and upon inquiring they hung up the phone on my accountant.

I'm very angry with these calls, just called them back. They answered the phone right away, with a live person on the end, "thank you very much for calling IRS blabla". I sent them to hell, asking them not to ever call me again. I also faxed a complaint to the following number: (202) 927-7018
